April Tag Questions
If you've been following my actions here with my period film reviews, you'll have noticed that things have been very quiet this month. This month has been a bit more of a 'modern' month with my little sister purchasing films such as Saving God, The Mighty Macs, and New Hope. All of them are great Christian films for teens... I'd recommend them.
Here are the tag questions from Miss Laurie of Old Fashioned Charm, who is hosting this challenge:

1. What period dramas have you watched in April?
Only one this time...
Hallmark's 1999 Alice in Wonderland. After reading the book for the Classics Club, I was intrigued. :)

2. Have you ever watched a period drama where the characters time travelled between eras (i.e. Somewhere In Time, Lost In Austen, From Time To Time)?
Yes, I have. Aside from Alice in Wonderland... (:P) I also watched Lost In Austen about a year and a half ago. Although it was very funny, I found it quite crude. Also if you were a very very strict Austen fan you could find it terribly blasphemous as Amanda's attempts to make the story perfect are absolutely disastrous. You would not believe some of the twists... As Amanda comments to herself, "Whrrr! Do you hear that? It's Jane Austen spinning in her grave!"
3. What historical era is your favourite and why?
Oh dear... this is another one of Miss Laurie's tricky questions!
To read and watch I have to say that the WWII/Holocaust era is a big favourite... Also the Austen period, Renaissance, and just after the American Civil War are the ones that I really like.
But I love history... so practically every era is awesome. :)
Why? What do you mean why? I can't explain why... My previous statement 'I love history' is a pretty good explanation. :)

4. How many William Shakespeare film adaptations have you seen?
Ermmm.... none.

5. If a new biographical film based on the life of your favorite classic author were made would you rejoice or be the first to sign a "do not make this film" petition?
Elizabeth Gaskell
Hm... I think I would rejoice... Apparently Becoming Jane isn't a very good replica of Jane Austen's life and I don't think there is a film out about Elizabeth Gaskell...
Yes. If a film came out about my favourite classic author, I'd definitely want to see it.
